Our September Athlete’s of the month are a pair of captain leaders from our girl’s soccer team. Seniors Kaity Browne and Rebecca Fairbanks have led the Scorpions to their best league start in 20 years. Kaity is second in the county in scoring with 9 goals while Rebecca anchors our defense and has added 5 goals. The lady Scorps won 5 straight games in September. Come out an support them in October
The October Athlete’s of the month are Frankie Moore and Xavier Patterson. Frankie won the Howard County Cross Country Championships this month. She aims for states in Nov. Xavier helped the Scorpion football team defeat a solid Howard team while rushing for over 200 yards.

The November Athlete’s of the month are Paige Andrews and Trevin McHargh. Paige was the outstanding goalkeeper in leading OM to the regional final. She saved a PK and scored a PK during their playoff run. Trevin had an outstanding November compiling 235 yards and 4 TD’s in the Scorpions two playoff games vs Century and Middletown.

The December Athlete’s of the month are Destiny Macharia and DeJuan Taylor. In December, Destiny led the Lady Scorps to a 7-2 record. She received All Tournament honors in our Holiday Tourney. DeJuan scored 30 points (a career high) vs Lansdowne and was named Tournament MVP.

The January Athlete’s of the month are Jada Fowler and Abdur Razzaq Hassan.
Jada has earned a starting spot on the varsity wrestling team and has a current record of 10-9 on the varsity squad. She is also undefeated in the girls division.
Abdur won 3 gold medals at counties, and broke the school record in the high jump and long jump while at the national Penn State invitiational.

The February Athlete’s of the month are Lore Olakunle and Shane King.
At the Indoor Track state championships, Lore won the 55 Meter Dash. Shane won the 300 Meter Dash.
Both state champs earned their first individual title and will be honored on the new banner located in the gym.
The March Athlete’s of the month are Tito Ogundairo and Joe Clark.
Tito won the Patriot Invitation in the 400-meter dahs setting a new personal best of 58.75 seconds. That is the fastest time in all of the 2A Classification.
Joe earned 2nd place in the state honors in the 1A/2A classifications for wrestling. He will enter his senior year as the top public school wrestler in the state.
The Athlete’s of the month for April have helped catapult our Tennis teams to new heights.
Gabriella Kerechanin is a third-year varsity player and captain. She plays a mix of doubles one and singles #1. She has had multiple wins in both positions including winning the last three matches!
Luke Carlsen plays both doubles and singles. He helped OM win against Glenelg by winning at #1 singles and
