OMHS Boosters is a 501(c)(3) organization, led by parent volunteers in collaboration with the Athletic Director.  Dedicated to enhancing the OM student experience by providing supplemental funding for OMHS' extra-curricular activities through collaboration with the school administration, club sponsors, coaches, student support groups, and community businesses. 

Running a successful high school athletic program is expensive!  In Howard County, the HCPSS gives each high school funding per year for athletics and extra-curricular activities. Unfortunately that funding alone isn't enough.  Consequently each High School has a Boosters club that raises additional funding to help supplement funding.  Without Boosters, high-quality athletics programs simply couldn't exist.

No, these are two completely separate organizations. The PTSA covers academic enrichment, while Boosters covers sports and clubs.  Both the Boosters and PTSA have parent volunteers. Families can choose to join both and/or one or the other.
 

No, these are completely different organizations. The Fine Arts Boosters covers performing arts: band, strings, chorus, drama, and dance. The OMHS Boosters covers sports and clubs.
